Nana Star Review and Giveaway

We are so excited to share with you a great new series of books that we were introduced to recently. EE Publishing- The Laugh Friendly Team- has created a series of books based on the character Nana Star that enchants and delights children of all ages.

EE Publishing is made up of two sisters, Elizabeth Sills and Elena Patrice, who developed the world of Nana Star, comprised of a picture book series and plush toys based on magical characters created by their grandmother years ago.

The stories are above all concerned with inspiring character by encouraging such traditional virtues as compassion, kindness, and generosity in the littlest of listeners.

We were lucky enough to receive a beautiful package from Nana Star recently to review. This package included both Nana Star books and a poseable Nana Star Doll and Moonman Lovey. My daughter was so excited when we opened the box, she insisted we take Nana Star and Moonman out of the boxes immediately.

Upon opening the boxes, I was so impressed to see what high quality both Nana Star and Moonman were- so soft and sweet- and Nana Star is fully poseable which delights my little dancer. She "danced" with Nana Star all day!!

Once we fully introduced Nana Star and Moonman to the family, my little one was eager to hear the stories that starred her newest little friends. The stories are truly enchanting with such a wonderful undertone of compassion and kindness. My daughter loved them and asked us to read them again and again, and was reciting their stories to us by the end of the day.

The next morning I went to wake up my little sweetie and this is what greeted me:

She has taken Nana Star and Moonman with us everywhere we have been for days. I would have to say they are a big hit in our family.

The first two stories in the character-building Nana Star series promote positive values in a simple, imaginative manner accessible to the littlest listeners. Each book introduces a new friend who helps Nana Star on her way by embodying a traditional virtue.

The Nana Star book is a grand new classic for children. You can join a little girl's magical adventures as she promises to bring a lost baby star home where he belongs. It won't be easy- he lives high up in the heavens.

The sweet and oh-so-very-pretty Nana Star Poseable Doll is crafted with love and special attention to details that Little Twinkles will appreciate. She even comes with the baby star for them to care for!

The Nana Star and the Moonman book is the inspiring story of Nana Star's journey to bring the lost baby star back home where he belongs, but the world has gone to bed and she feels scared and alone. With help from a new friend, she learns that she is never alone, that Moonman is always watching over and guiding her, even when she can't see him.

Made to be loved to pieces, the Moonman Lovey glows when Little Twinkles cuddle him and he plays a sleepy "luvyby" when they hug his tummy! He's a comforting presence as they drift off to dreamland.

  6. These sound like really nice cuddlies, and I like the story that goes along with them. I think it's important to help children not fear the dark, and knowing the Moonman is watching over them can be very comforting.

  9. I'm thrilled to see that there are still people out there who are like minded, who want to make toys, snuggle buddies (as we call them) and books that have a good message and are value/morals oriented! Two thumbs way up!
